β-carotene, an orange fat-soluble compound, is a kind of carotenoid and it is the most common and most stable natural pigment in nature. β-carotene is inevitable for maintaining health for antioxidation and detoxification. It plays a remarkable role in anti-cancer, cardiovascular diseases and cataract prevention, anti-oxidation and the prevention of degenerative diseases caused by aging.

Results and Discussion
Innoval ODS-2 HPLC column was adopted to detect the β-carotene standard samples and samples in the experiment. Table 2 and the following Figure show that the result can meet detesting demand.

The β-carotene standard sample and milk powder sample were detected by Innoval ODS-2 HPLC column in the experiment. The result shows that the Innoval ODS-2 HPLC column can meet the testing requirement.
